Guild Rules

  • Minimum Level For Admittance:
    • The minimum level for admittance into the Sanctuary Over Norrath guild will start at lvl 15 and will escalate 5 levels whenever the guild houses 15 members that are above the specified level. For Example- When there are 15 people in the guild that are lvl 16 or over, the minimum level will raise to 20. When there are 15 people at lvl 20 or over the level will raise to 25, etc.

***Amended by guild leader- the minimum level will now raise if there is as many people as the minimum level at or above the minimum level. For example- 30 people will have to be lvl 30 or over for the minimum level to jump to 30, this amendment was made becuase of the minimum level jumping too fast.***

    • Until lifted by a majority of the officers and the guild leader, the maximum required level will not raise above the level 35
    • Exceptions will be made in cases of gross unbalancing in the guild.
    • In the case that a minimum level would jump twice at the time of compounding, the minimum level will only raise 5 levels, and the second raise will occur exactly 1 week later from the time of the compounding.
    • Any character that was on the Legion of Kings Roster at the time when Fern left will be unquestionably allowed into the guild, regardless of level.
  • Twinks and Alternates Policy
    • The level of 20 must be achieved by any twink or alternate character before they will be considered to join the guild. The reason for this is to make sure that the twink/alternate character is a serious addition to the guild and will have some time invested in the character.
    • The required level of 20 will not be altered or affected by the Minimum Level for Admittance policy. If it is ever changed it will be done independantly and agreed upon by a majority of the officers and the guild leader.
  • Maximum Size of Guild
    • The maximum size of the guild will be determined only if a majority of the officers and the guild leader approve of closing recruitment, at which point the guild's maximum size will be dependant upon the number of active members.
    • Under circumstances decided by the officers and guild leader, recruitment may only be opened to a specific band of players. For example- The guild has 20 Warriors and 1 Cleric, the officers and guild leader may vote to limit the recruitment to only Clerics until the balance issue has worked itself out.
    • If recruitment has closed and you wish to recruit another character (friend, alternate, etc) You may bring a petition in front of the officers and guild leader, they will then vote to accept or terminate the petition, decided on a majority vote either way.
  • Politeness Policy
    • Sanctuary Over Norrath is a friendly guild and will give assistance to those in need.
    • There will be no Kill Stealing, Training, Cheating Trades, or Ninja Looting
    • Cussing is allowed, but should be kept to a bare minimum and words used should be as tame as possible, we have all had our rough days in EQ.
  • Members
    • Members are required to reprepresent the guild in the best way possible at all times, following the Politeness Policy
    • Members may petition to officers any problems they may be having
    • Members are encouraged to talk to guild officers and the guild leader so that they may better represent you
    • All members are entitled to apply for officer positions, keep in mind though, not all who apply will be approved
    • Members are requested at all Guild Meetings, and raids within level range. If you cannot make a meeting/raid due to RL issue, then please inform the Raid/Event Officer Via email or in-game
    • More then anything, Members are supposed to HAVE FUN!!!
  • Officers
    • Officers will be chosen based on their merit and station, meaning their Performance and their Job
    • All officers positions are avaliable via application, until vacancy is filled.
    • Once an applicant has been verified by the guild leader, the spot that was applied for is no longer available.
    • Officer Demotion
      • An officer brought in front of the panel of officers and the guild leader will have his/her vote terminated as long as they are the subject of the panel.
      • A majority vote of the remaining officers and leader will determine whether to drop the subject or demote the officer in question.
      • Reasons for demotion include, but are not limited to:
        • Unnaceptable social behavior within Guild Chat
        • Laziness/Tardiness/Sloppyness of appointed Job
        • Multiple incidents that display the guild in ill fashion to the peoples of Norrath
        • Failure to comply with the rules of the guild
      • Upon demotion, the Job will be added back into the active applications and can be applied for by any individual in the guild. Including the demoted officer.
    • Officer Voting
      • All guild officers will have a weight of 1 vote to cast during any petition brought before them.
      • Voting officers should represent the betterment and evolution of the guild, and not represent themselves.
    • Officers are expected to be at all meetings and raids, if you cannot make it due to RL please let the guild leader know
    • Further involvement of the officer is discussed on the Inner Sanctum: Officers page
  • Guild Leader
    • The Guild Leader will be representative of the ideals of the guild, and of the peoples of the guild.
    • Duties of the Guild Leader
      • To be active chair to any petition put before the officers.
      • The Guild Leader will have the final say on any petition voted either way, however, the Guild Leader may not overturn a vote by the officers without facing a vote of no confidence by the officers who cast their vote to the overturned measure
      • The Guild Leader will appoint officers as he/she sees fit. Demotion will only occur after a petition is brought before the officers.
      • The Guild Leader will hold 1 vote to any petition brought forth, and will hold 2 votes to any petition brought for involving an officer of the guild.
    • The Guild Leader is the only person who may edit the contents of these rules, unless the rule being edited has a provision to be made available to an officer vote.
    • The Guild Leader is to be fair and unbiased, and speak only for the people of the guild, not for His/Her self.
  • Leaving the Guild
    • Although no one wants to see you go, there are circumstances on which a member will leave the guild, as a courtesy, please inform one of the following- Guild Leader, Web Page Officer, or Roster Update Officer of your departure.
  • Roster Changes
    • The Roster Update Officer will make a list of any roster changes, liberating the members of having to submit to the webpage.
    • In the case that your character has not been seen by the Roster Update Officer or the Guild Leader in the course of a month, you will be considered MIA and will be removed from the roster
    • Members that are MIA will be placed on a separate roster that will not be posted, in case you were just on vacation, family emergency, etc
